Our last water technology happy hour was on September 6, 2023. It drew amazing water leaders focused on solving the most challenging water issues. Thank you to all who attended this month, whether it was your first time joining us or you have attended every event over the past several years. So good to be in person!

Some takeaways from the event:

📣 Leadership leaning in: As you can see in the photo below, the Minnesota water technology community is robust, diverse, unique, and most importantly making positive impacts to solve wicked problems.

🌟 Rock star: Thankful to Minnesota-native's Imagine H2O's Kelly Trott for joining us and sharing timely and insightful remarks!

🎊 A new year: Excited to have ImagineH20’s 2024 cohort applications start on October 4. So proud of Sudoc and Nucleic Sensing Systems as the MSP representatives in the 2023 cohort!

🎭 A new cycle: Saw and felt the shake-out post-COVID with a new cycle of companies entering rapid growth, especially around innovative new business models. And others shutting down. Lots of talented folks on the market or will be soon. ☹

⏱ Early signals and new awareness: In just the last two weeks, key articles have raised awareness of the work to which many attendees have devoted their life work to. Articles of note discussed last night included: US groundwater depletion to PFAS to nitrates. The collective energy in the room went up when these articles were mentioned. (I genuinely appreciate the renewed media coverage to raise awareness and increase a broader understanding of complex problems!)

🌪 PFAS volatilely: The next few years are going to be wild around PFAS technology, and investing because of the new regulations and the capacity gaps around sensing, collecting, and destruction. Entering the unknown.

🤝 Let's connect: to be invited to future events, sponsor an event, or see how we can work together
